The Little Theatre is pleased to announce the launch of a new one act play festival – Play Write!
Budding playwrights are invited to submit original, one act plays, with the three winning scripts to be performed at the Festival in July 2018.
A short-list of plays will be chosen by a panel of independent judges, and performed for two nights, over the week-end of 20-21 July, 2018.
What to submit:
- Only one script per author will be accepted, and each script must be new work that has not been previously published or performed.
- Each play must be no more than 30 minutes long, with a cast of no more than six actors, and with simple staging requirements (i.e. basic set, lighting, props, etc.).
Fee: To encourage as many entries as possible for this inaugural event, the competition is free to enter.
There is no monetary prize, but we will be awarding a trophy to the winner, and prizes to the audience favourite each night.
