HighTide produces plays by outstanding new writers, and as part of their HighTide Academy your play could be performed at HighTide Festival 2016. The Academy takes place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd April at their offices in Farringdon, London.
They’re inviting twenty five emerging writers to join them for two days of development at our central London offices with HighTide Literary Associate Stephanie Street and Artistic Director Steven Atkinson. In the workshop, Stephanie will share writing exercises and advice with you, and start the process of writing a short play for consideration to be staged at HighTide. Six of these short plays will be performed as readings at HighTide Festival 2016 by members of the Chichester Youth Theatre.
What you pay: The fee to take part in the workshop is £40 which you’ll need to pay if selected to take part, and this includes a Play Pass for HighTide Festival 2016, which gives you entry to four HighTide productions.
Eligibility: To take part you’ll need to be aged between 18 and 25.
