In Motion Theatre Company presents the very first Winter Words, a new writing festival taking place in Glasgow 11th – 14th December.
Winter Words will celebrate new writing at various stages in development as an alternative theatre offering over the Christmas season, and will take place at DRAM on Woodlands Road, embracing the pub theatre atmosphere.
What to submit: They’re looking for four 15-20 minute extracts from new plays in development to be presented as part of an evening of first draft rehearsed readings on Sunday 11th December. There is no set theme, they’re simply looking for extracts with strong dramatic potential that have not been staged before. Submissions must be suitable for a maximum of three actors.
What you get: Successful extracts will receive 75 minutes rehearsal time on the day of the readings (which writers will be encouraged to be present for) and will be performed as script-in-hand readings by professional actors, directed by Jordan Blackwood.
