James Tait Black prize awarded to Gordon Dahlquist for ‘Tomorrow Come Today’

As announced in The Stage, this year’s James Tait Black Prize has been awarded for sci-fi work which “portrays a future when the super-rich can switch bodies to younger, healthier ones, allowing them to live for hundreds of years.”

The James Tait Black Prize is awarded to a full length play that has received a professional production, and is selected by representatives from The University of Edinburgh, Playwrights’ Studio Scotland, and the Traverse Theatre.  The prize recognizes the best new play in English, Scots or Gaelic, which “demonstrates an original theatrical voice and makes a significant contribution to the art form”, and was selected out of 180 submissions this year.

Congratulations, Gordon!
