The Koestler Trust is the UK’s best-known prison arts charity. They are currently looking for an outstanding Literature Officer with a passion for, and in-depth knowledge of, poetry and/or prose, as well as the practical skills to translate this into creative writing exhibits and publications. The chosen candidate will need to be able to inspire and engage service-users, prison staff, staff team, artists and stakeholders and juggle a varied workload.
This post is part of a new one-year Literature Development Project supported by the Arts Council England. The project aims to develop the Trust’s work with creative writing – feedback, exhibitions, publications, awards, and events for the public, ex-offenders and their families – and to leave a lasting legacy through evaluation and learning outcomes.
The post is part time, based on three weekdays each week, and is a one-year fixed term contract.
