‘Script This’ looks to work with playwrights that offer a strong and commanding new voice towards producing new plays. Up to six script extracts (10 minutes in length) are selected to produce a vibrant evening of rehearsed readings of new work at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre in Lincoln.
All of the selected writers are invited to the Lincoln Performing Arts centre to participate in seeing their work performed to a live audience by our team of professional actors and directors, with each individual reading including a feedback discussion. One script extract from our night of readings is selected via a vote from our audience and creative team, and is offered the chance to receive further extensive feedback from our literary team…Added to this is the potential scope of working with the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre again at a future date.
Some of their previous writers have been invited to stage their work at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre, whist in other instances some of our featured writers have been invited back to partake in the annual ‘Newvolutions’ new work festival.
