Description: Learn with London Playwrights is a series of podcast style lectures, resources, and workshops covering all things theatre related! Whether you’ve never studied theatre, want to brush up on your Brecht, or just want to learn something new, Learn with London Playwrights is for everyone! In the series, we’ll be diving into a wide variety of subjects from key playwrights to theatre styles to industry advice. You can read all the details here but in the meantime, we’re super excited to announce that our first session on Angels in America will be released on 1 June!
Why is it so great? We think our Learn with London Playwrights series is great because it includes everyone: if you’re totally new to theatre and playwriting, it’s a chance to find out more and maybe even get some inspiration! Even if you consider yourself a theatre aficionado, the series will give you the chance to brush up on key topics or delve into something you’re interested in. In the first session, we’ll be getting nerdy about Angels in America. Not only is this play important in terms of LGBTQ+ Theatre, it’s also a good example of Brechtian Theatre and the large and powerful scope of the play will get you dreaming big about what’s possible on stage!
