Poplar Union, a brand new east London-based arts, culture and community venue, has announced its first series of writing workshops.
This three-part workshops with fringe writer Dale J. Pearson are on the theme of ‘place’.
After the final workshop, participants are invited to take the opportunity to showcase their work to a live audience at Poplar Union’s brand new scratch free night, Scratch, Crackle & POP! on Monday June 19.
Popular Union says: “Peeling Back Places explores some of the different approaches writers use to bring places to life. Experiment with techniques that will invigorate your writing with a sense of place.
“This workshop is aimed at anyone with an interest in play-writing or prose. Whether you write regularly or are just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to hone your craft as part of a community of London-based writers.
“After the final workshop, participants are invited to take the opportunity to showcase their work to a live audience at Poplar Union’s brand new scratch night, Scratch, Crackle & POP!”
