RE:act wants immediate response to The Whisper House to create a new piece of musical theatre (paid)

RE:act  wants to bring together emerging writers/theatre makers, directors and actors wanting to create a new short piece of musical theatre.

RE:act says: “Written or devised in 24 hours, and performed at The Other Palace these short new musicals will be a perfect companion for the main house production.

“These pieces will be followed by a conversation with an established theatre creative and an opportunity for both emerging and established artists to meet post-show to further discuss ideas.

“We are inviting applications from directors, playwrights, composers and musical theatre partnerships in the early stages of their career, to respond to the story, music, themes and characters within The Whisper House at The Other Palace.”

The response to The Whisper House will take place on 22 April 2017 at 8pm.

This is a paid opportunity. All participants will be paid UK Theatre Day Rates.

The evening is curated by Alastair Knights, who directed the sell-out 2014 production of Stephen Sondheim’s Putting it Together.
