Scripts: An Actor’s Approach – A Workshop with Julie Glover

Scripts: An Actor’s Approach
Wednesday 29th June 2016 from  10.00am – 4.00pm
Venue: YHA St Pancras

Master Raconteur has organised a one day workshop looking at how an actor approaches a script, run by tutor JULIE GLOVER of ‘Coronation Street’ and ‘Emmerdale’.

This opportunity will benefit aspiring actors but will also be valuable for writers.

  • Interrorgating a script, What is it really about?
  • Writers – Do you know how to put levels in your script?
  • Actors – Do you know how find levels and layers in a script?
  • How to use punctuation creatively to communicate.
  • Understanding characters and stepping in to their shoes.
  • Exploring text and subtext

As with all MR professional workshops there will be a mixture of analysis, technique training and practical exercises.

Julie Glover has a vast experience of acting for screen and theatre and works as a director and acting tutor.
