Second Circle Theatre accepting submissions for script reading night

Second Circle Theatre presents: AN EVENING OF SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT READINGS with support from Paines Plough

Are you a writer wanting to hear your new work read aloud for the first time? Try out your script in a friendly, supportive environment with the help from professional actors and theatre-makers.

Who they are: Second Circle Theatre were finalists of the Pleasance Charlie Hartill Special Reserve 2017. The company is made up of three core theatre-makers who create and self-produce shows. Hannah Samuels leads as Artistic Director and in-house writer, Topher Collins specialises in improvisation and manages the company’s finances and Zoe Gibbons works at the speed of light on all things social media, community and education outreach.

“Our three hearts are tied by the desire to create honest, visceral theatre in intimate and unique spaces. By revealing our hopes, fears, obsessions, anxieties and secrets, we strive to make work about the people we care about and the issues we want to scream about. We believe that theatre can be and should be experienced by everyone. We have just begun R&D for new project WHY WE LOVE after the success of our debut show MEETING AT 33 (4* The Scotsman).

At Second Circle Theatre, we are committed to collaborating with emerging, innovative artists and we are constantly looking to expand our creative network”.
