That Sketch Show is a brand new, topical, comedy night at The Edge, Manchester, that invites writers at all stages of their journey to submit material. The team at The Edge select the funniest jokes and sketches, which are then performed, by experienced professionals, in That Sketch Show.
Shamelessly stealing the idea from BBC Radio’s Newsjack – but sadly with only half their budget – That Sketch Show launches on 30th September and they are accepting material from now up to and including the day of the first show on the 30th September, but only if it’s really topical!
For the material they perform, they pay £23 per one liner /or per 60 seconds of a sketch.
You can submit a sketch, using no more than 2 sides of A4 and/or one-liners. Political, celebrity and popular culture satire all welcome!
You can submit a maximum of two sketches for each show, and six one-liners. If they want to see more, they’ll get in touch.
This is an open call for writers at all stages of their career.
