Writers Lab respond to the refugee crisis in Homeland Festival.
The two day creative writing workshop of Homeland Festival in Drayton Arms Theatre aims to
explore creatively the experiences of refugees and to inspire
participants to use storytelling and playwriting to address the
refugee crisis. The first day, you will focus on the art of
storytelling with writer Eirini Dermitzaki from Vertebra Theatre. The
second day, you will experiment with writing for performance and
turning a story into a play with playwright Dr. Christos Callow Jr.
The Writers Lab of Homeland Festival will show you how to turn
experience into story, and story into theatre. No experience needed.
The workshop fee is £10.
