Theatre Delicatessen exists to support artists in the creation of the work and the development of their practice and is looking for creatives to apply for its artist residency programme.
Its focus is on supporting artists whose work breaks the boundaries of traditional theatre by exploring the relationship between audience and performer – whether that be through exploring the nature of the theatrical space, immersive experiences, game-playing, live art or other manifestations of performance which cross boundaries and defy definition.
What you get:
Scratch Night + One Week Residency aimed at artists who are looking to test ideas at an early stage of development with a live audience in the room.
You will have access to and use of a rehearsal space to develop your performance in the week leading up to the performance.
Performance slot of 10-20 minutes in a Theatre Deli Scratch Night (all previous scratch nights have sold out), with written feedback from audience members
The Theatre Deli creative team will also be on hand to help support the process as best they can.
Two Week Residency: Aimed at artists who are looking to develop their next full-length work.
You will have two-week, full-time access to and use of a rehearsal space to develop your performance.
These often culminate in a work-in-progress performance. The Theatre Deli creative team will also be on hand to help support the process as best they can.
