In their words: “The aim is to encourage current drama school and university students, as well as graduates to stage their works to a paying audience.Making your first steps into staging your own works after higher education can be a tough task. There’s plenty to think about as you’re not only creating and devising your own works, you’re having to bear in mind the marketing and financial aspects of a show. What the Pub Theatre Festival looks to do is to create a launchpad for the voices of tomorrow. Everyone has to start from somewhere, and with a little support, possibilities can be endless.”
How to apply: All submissions should be sent to Lucy Basaba at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order to be considered as a performer, you must submit a bio about yourself and your theatre company, a synopsis of your piece and any other supporting material (video clips/script/photos etc). You must have a finalised idea rather than just an idea you are currently working on. Please only submit up to 30 mins of work.
